Mapfre is a Spanish-founded insurance group that offers group health insurance for companies in Portugal through Mapfre Saúde Empresas. Mapfre has operated in Portugal for more than 30 years, with headquarters in Lisbon and over 110 stores nationwide, and the cover is underwritten by MAPFRE Seguros Gerais, S.A.
Mapfre Saúde Empresas policies can be set up as group schemes, either fully employer-paid or with employee contributions. Mapfre health cover includes hospitalisation, outpatient care, dental treatment, childbirth and medicines, and members can call the Linha MAPFRE SAÚDE telephone line for guidance on where to get care.
